On his talk show Tuesday, Rush Limbaugh stated the Democratic Party is now resentful, unhappy, and liberal comedians are “consumed by hatred.”
This comes a mere six days after the shooting in Alexandria, VA that critically injured Rep. Steve Scalise and injured three others. The shooter reportedly asked bystanders if the men practicing were Republicans or Democrats.
The shooter, James T. Hodgkinson, voted Democrat in 2008, 2010, and 2012. He supported Bernie Sanders in the 2016 campaign, volunteering at Sanders’ events.
Limbaugh claims the Democratic Party is the “largest hate group” in the country. He cites a general unhappiness among the group, saying “if they’re engaged in any way, shape, manner, or form of politics, they’re not happy, no matter what.”
Even their successes, such as President Obama’s election, the passage of the Affordable Healthcare Act, or bringing troops home from the Middle East, don’t satisfy the Democrats. Limbaugh says, “Every success they have seems to tell them how little they’ve actually done.”
Just since January, we’ve heard celebrities threaten to blow up the White House, seen women wear pink anatomically-correct hats in protest to the election of the president, witnessed Antifa run rampant throughout the country.
I agree – the Democrats definitely seem a little upset.
Never in the history of our country has a former U.S. Attorney General spoken publicly about resisting the new administration. Not since the days of McCarthyism have our Congressional members spent so much wasted time in hearings – hearings that have already cleared our president at least twice of any collusion with Russia. Never have mayors of cities and governors stood up and vowed to give sanctuary to illegal immigrants – even those with criminal records.
Make no mistake – Democrats want President Trump out of office, and it appears they will stop at nothing to get their way.
This is what Rush is speaking on – the unparalleled anger and disgust the Democratic Party seems to have, not only toward the president, but also toward anyone who supports him.
In the first days after the shooting in Alexandria, both Democrats and Republicans seemed to call a truce of sorts. It didn’t last long, however. Joy Reid of MSNBC hinted at Rep. Scalise being a closet racist and criticized his voting record in a tweet over the weekend.

A house divided will not stand, and our country has never been quite this divided. If we don’t learn to come together for the common good of this country, of every citizen of this country, we shall most definitely fall apart. It’s time to forget about the election, forget about Russia, and get to work to making this country great.
