Conservative star and outspoken former “The Blaze” host Tomi Lahren is back!
The fiery blonde landed a job with the Fox News network as a regular on Sean Hannity’s “Hannity.” She will be a contributor on the nighttime show.
After a very public and very nasty ousting from The Blaze, Lahren is coming back out of a brief unemployment period to appear regularly on Hannity’s show and contribute her analysis and opinions.
With her extremely wide fan base, this is sure to boost Hannity’s ratings. He is already one of the news network’s more popular stars.
Those who are fans of Tomi’s social media video blog and website will surely be excited to hear that her career in TV news is back up and running. Who knows what this will lead to at Fox.
According to the Daily Wire:
On Wednesday morning, Fox News announced that 25-year-old conservative firebrand Tomi Lahren is no longer unemployed. After a litigious separation from The Blaze triggered by her suggestion that it was hypocritical of conservatives to be both anti-big government and anti-abortion, Lahren is now slated to be a regular contributor to Sean Hannity’s show and play a “signature role” in an unspecified future “digital product.”
When the legal dispute with The Blaze had finally wrapped up back in May, Lahren said in an interview with Playboy that she was definitely interested in working at the “mecca” of conservative news. On Wednesday morning, Fox confirmed that they’ve nailed down a contract with the popular figure, though the network didn’t offer many specifics about the roles she will play.
“The network said on Wednesday that Lahren will have a ‘signature role’ on a digital product under development and be a commentator on the network’s opinion programming,” ABC News reports. “Her primary home will be on Sean Hannity’s show, where she was to debut on Wednesday.”
In the Playboy interview, when Lahren was asked if she’d work with Fox, she said, “Of course,” but also noted that she would work for other outlets so long as she was allowed to be “authentic and genuine.”
“Of course I would [work for Fox News],” she said. “I mean, that’s the Mecca. But I don’t care what the outlet is. I would work for MSNBC if I could be me and be authentic and genuine, and do what I do. That’s the thing about me: I can learn and I can grow, but you’re not getting some empty vessel that you can make with it what you want. I think I’ve proven time and time again that I’m not easily tamed. I would consider going anywhere. But I just want to be able to pursue what’s next. I want the freedom to find that out.”
As for her pro-choice comments, Lahren maintains that while she is personally anti-abortion, she does not believe the government should decide if a woman should be allowed to end the life of her unborn child. Though The Blaze says that her comments are not the reason she was fired, she noted to Playboy, “Well, I went on The View on the 17th and I was fired on the 20th, so I’ll let you make of that what you will.”
This is exciting news to say the least!
As you may recall, Tomi Lahren was forced out of the Blaze after publicly voicing her opinion on the topic of women and abortion in the US.
She is back and better than ever with a fresh opportunity and a bigger audience.
