The fact is that liberals keep voting for liberals because liberals offer comforting lies as opposed to potentially unpleasant truths.
One of those comforting lies is the gun control myth.
Liberals would be quick to use emotional catch phrases and hypotheticals to try to lead you into a gun control debate, saying things like, “fear leads to anger, which leads to hatred, which leads to gun violence,” or some equally stupid string of verbal diarrhea.
They are wrong on both gun violence and the 2nd Amendment.
Here are the facts behind both:
30,000 gun-related deaths occur per year in the United States, and this number is not disputed.
The U.S. population 324,059,091 as of data released on Wednesday, June 22, 2016.
Doing the math that is 0.00925% of the population die from gun related actions each year. Statistically speaking, this is insignificant!
What is never told, however, is a breakdown of those 30,000 deaths, to put them in perspective as compared to other causes of death it looks like this:
65% (19,500) of those deaths are by suicide which would never be prevented by gun laws
15% (4500) are by law enforcement in the line of duty and justified
17% (5100) are through criminal activity, gang and drug related or mentally ill persons, gun violence
3% (900) are accidental discharge deaths
So technically, “gun violence” is not 30,000 annually, it actually drops to 5,100.
Let’s look at how are those 5,000 deaths are allocated across the country?
480 homicides (9.4%) were in Chicago
344 homicides (6.7%) were in Baltimore
333 homicides (6.5%) were in Detroit
119 homicides (2.3%) were in Washington D.C. (a 54% increase over prior years)
So technically, 25% of all gun crime happens in just four cities. All four of those cities have strict gun control laws, are run by Democrats, high political corruption and high crime. Liberals would have you believe the Gun is the cause for all these problems.
This basically leaves 3,825 for the rest of the entire country which on average, is about 75 deaths per state. That is an average because some States, like the High Gun Control States of New York and California, have much higher rates than others. Let’s look at California which had 1,169 gun deaths and Alabama that had only one.
Since high Gun Control states have higher crime and are normally run by Democrats and have higher gun crimes and murders, but other states with less gun control has less crime and less murders, maybe it is not the Gun causing these statistics.
Although 5,100 deaths per year may sound bad, it really is a very small percentage. Let’s look at other causes of death in comparison.
So here are some other causes of deaths per year:
40,000 plus die from a drug overdose (Drugs are outlawed and controlled)
36,000 people die each year from the flu, far exceeding the criminal gun deaths
34,000-40,000 people die each year in traffic fatalities (exceeding gun deaths even if you include suicide)
Now for the big numbers:
200,000+ people die each year (and growing) from preventable medical errors. (Imagine this, you are safer in Chicago than when in a hospital, but cameras and videotaping medical procedures are outlawed?)
710,000 people die per year from heart disease. That’s 142 times more people than die by guns. Get cracking on that pizza ban!!
Ask your liberal acquaintance this: If gun control really worked, then why is England the most violent country in Europe, and Chicago the most deadly city in America?
The Second Amendment:
The Second Amendment is a recognition of the danger of standing armies.
• Its purpose is to recognize that every citizen has the right to keep and bear the same type of basic arms as a soldier in the modern miliary.
• A militia embodies all able-bodied men over the age of sixteen.
• Therefore, a militia will always outnumber a standing army by at least twenty to one.
• If this militia is armed with weapons similar to those used by the individuals comprising the standing army, it will be impossible for that standing army to inflict the will of a tyrannical government upon the people.
• The Second Amendment is the guarantee behind all other articles in the Bill of Rights.
• It is the ultimate guarantee that citizens in the United States will remain free.

Still need some stats for the lefties?
The Virginia Tech shooter in 2007 killed 32 people with two handguns. FBI statistics show that of 15,070 homicides in 2016, 374 people or 3% were killed with rifles. Some 656 homicides were committed with “personal weapons” (hands, fists, feet) and 1,604 with knives.
According to John Lott’s Crime Prevention Research Center, most mass shootings with 15 or more casualties since 1970 took place outside the U.S., including France and Norway that strictly regulate guns.
A typical firearm suppressor reduces muzzle report by about 30 decibels, bringing down (say) an AR-15 report to about 135 decibels. That is still as loud as a jackhammer.
After each gun tragedy, progressives denounce the “gun lobby” … The “gun lobby” are Americans who want to retain their right to self-defense.
FBI 2016 STATS: from the 10/4/17 Wall Street Journal
I have been asking the whole week for someone to give me the name of ONE SINGLE registered NRA member who committed a mass murder. I can get into double digits naming registered Democrat mass shooters.
Tell me again, how are legal gun owners the problem?
Don’t worry, I’ll wait.
