Liberal Hollywood activist George Clooney just hasn’t had enough embarrassments for one year.
Just a few months ago, we brought you the viral and embarrassing story of how George Clooney was forced to release a humiliating statement on the refugee crisis in Europe, all after vocally bashing President Trump’s travel ban.
If that story wasn’t enough to boycott old George’s movies, this will be for sure.
Multiple reports have emerged detailing that the liberal airhead has just donated one million dollars to a far-left intolerant group called the “Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC).”
His reason? To fight “bigotry and hate.”
So Mr. Clooney just donated his money to silencing free speech in America.
This is nothing but guilt money for running away from the “welcomed” immigrants in Italy. It is guilt money put in the wrong place.
Way to have things backfire, George.
According to Breitbart:
Actor and activist George Clooney and his wife Amal, have become the latest high-profile public figures to donate $1 million to the far-left Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC).
The Money Monster star’s Clooney Foundation for Justice partnered with the Alabama-based organization for the seven-figure grant, Deadline reports.
“Amal and I wanted to add our voice (and financial assistance) to the ongoing fight for equality,” George Clooney said in a statement. “There are no two sides to bigotry and hate.”
“We are proud to support the Southern Poverty Law Center in its efforts to prevent violent extremism in the United States,” the actor and his wife said. “What happened in Charlottesville, and what is happening in communities across our country, demands our collective engagement to stand up to hate.”
President Trump held a press conference last week and strongly condemned what he called the “egregious display of hatred” and violence that broke out in Charlottesville, Virginia. Addressing the media days later, Trump again slammed the neo-Nazis and white nationalist protesters and called the man who rammed a car into counter-protesters and killed a woman a “disgrace,” and a horrible “murderer.”
The SPLC has come under fire in the past for its partisan penchant to target and lump legitimate conservative organizations and media outlets together with actual extremist groups.
“Like George and Amal Clooney, we were shocked by the size, ugliness, and ferocity of the white supremacist gathering in Charlottesville,” said SPLC President Richard Cohen in a statement. “It was a reflection of just how much Trump’s incendiary campaign and presidency has energized the radical right. We are deeply grateful to the Clooney Foundation for standing with us at this critical moment in our country’s fight against hate.”
The organization said it is “deeply grateful” for the Clooneys’ generosity.
So, he is fighting “far-right extremism” with his money?
Enough is enough.
What would be useful would be for conservatives to found a counter-SPLC devoted to maintaining files on real hate groups (leftists and Islamists), and supporting research on the efforts by Soros and other globalists to erode our freedoms and endanger our national security. Perhaps a couple of conservative moneymen could front for such an organization. It would be nice if SPLC had some competition.
What would also be equally as helpful would be conservative competitors for Google, PayPal, CNN, CBS, ABC, and all the other liberal snowflakes.
